For families, executors and trustees settling a home in Estero — from The Brooks and Pelican Sound to West Bay and Miromar Lakes — with a free walk-through, a written evaluation, and a plan that works around the gate, the HOA and the closing.

Estero sits between Bonita Springs and Fort Myers, about thirty minutes from our shop on Shirley Street by I-75 — the Corkscrew Road and Estero Parkway exits — or a little longer up the Tamiami Trail. It's squarely on our regular run north, which means a walk-through can usually happen within a few days, and pieces come back to the shop the same afternoon.
Almost every home we see in Estero is behind a gate: The Brooks — Shadow Wood, Copperleaf, Spring Run, Lighthouse Bay — along with Pelican Sound, West Bay Club, Grandezza, Wildcat Run, Stoneybrook, Bella Terra, Corkscrew Shores, The Reserve, Marsh Landing, Fountain Lakes, and Miromar Lakes just across the county line. Each has its own gate procedure, vendor rules, hours for trucks and a management office with opinions about anything resembling a sale. We handle the registration, ask for the gate or HOA contact on the first call, and schedule the pickup inside whatever window the community allows. In the bundled communities the club and the HOA can each have rules; we've learned to ask both.
Because the public can't wander through most of these communities, a traditional estate sale is usually off the table. Our way of working — a private walk-through, a written evaluation, then buyout, consignment or auction placement with nothing public in the house — is what the rules allow. The routes compared.
Estero grew fast from the late 1990s, and the first wave of owners — retirees from the Midwest and Northeast who bought new in Shadow Wood or Pelican Sound — are now the estates we're called about. Their children are in Chicago, Minneapolis, Boston or Columbus, and the house has to be settled between visits or on one trip in season. We work from photographs, coordinate with a neighbor, realtor or attorney for access, and send a written summary you can act on from home.
Around the older parts of Estero — the streets near the Estero River, Old US-41 and the Koreshan settlement — we occasionally see genuinely early Florida houses and the things that go with them. Those get more time.
Because most Estero homes were furnished new in the last twenty-five years, the everyday contents are often recent and we'll say so honestly. The value is usually in what came from the northern house: the sterling flatware in the sideboard, the tea service, the paintings from the old dining room, the good rug under the coffee table, a clock, a collection assembled over a lifetime. We look for those first, and we don't waste your time pricing the sectional. Jewelry, gold, watches and coins go to our sister shop, Naples Estate Jewelry, in the same visit.
Estero homes turn over quickly and closings come fast. Many are in communities where the membership and the house are tangled together, which adds a deadline of its own. Tell us the date on the first call and we'll build the plan backwards from it — buying the general contents outright so the house empties on schedule, and placing only the pieces that truly justify a longer route.
Bonita Springs and San Carlos Park are on the same run; Fort Myers is a few exits further. See Bonita Springs, Fort Myers, or all the areas we cover.
The same four steps we use for every estate — with the drive, the gate and the building's rules already factored in.
Where the home is in Estero, roughly what's in it, and any dates that matter — a closing, a lease end, a flight home.
We come to the house, free of charge. Out of state? We can work from photographs, or with a neighbor, realtor or attorney who holds the keys.
What's there, what it's likely worth, and your options for each piece — buyout, consignment, auction, keep, or donate. The routes compared
Pickup, paperwork, gate and building coordination, auction submissions and payment — with a record for the estate file.
Both, if needed. Give us the management contacts and we'll handle gate registration, vendor paperwork and the moving-day rules for each. You won't need to be the go-between.
Sometimes less than families hope, and we'll say so plainly. The value in most Estero homes is in the pieces that came from the family's earlier house — silver, art, good furniture, collections. The walk-through finds them; it's free either way.
Usually within a few days — it's on our regular run between Bonita Springs and Fort Myers. Tell us if there's a closing or a flight home and we'll move faster.
Yes. Most Estero estates we handle are settled remotely: access through a neighbor, realtor, attorney or property manager; photographs and a written evaluation by email; your approval by phone; payment and receipts wherever the estate directs.
Yes, both — they're minutes from Estero proper and on the same trip.
We buy single pieces and entire estates — antiques, silver, art, and furniture. Honest evaluations, free of charge and free of pressure.
