The gift for the person who has everything.

They don't need another thing. They'd like one good one — with a little history attached, or a scent that stops them in the hall, or a piece of blue-and-white that makes the shelf. That's what a boutique inside an antiques shop is for.

Blue-and-white porcelain and a painted cabinet in the boutique blue & white

Gifts by the occasion

  • The hostess. A candle from the Sharon Lynch Collections line, with its fragrance notes on the label so she knows what she's lighting. A small Delft pot with something growing in it. A pair of antique silver salts. The candles.
  • The new house. A blue-and-white planter for the lanai, a pillow made from one of Sharon's paintings for the sofa, a mirror with a good bevel for the hall. Home décor.
  • The wedding, the anniversary. Sterling — a pair of candlesticks, a tray, a tea service that will outlast everyone at the party. Old silver is the best-value luxury there is. The antiques.
  • The gardener. Faux hand-painted florals that never wilt, Delft tulipières, planters and pots in blue-and-white and terracotta.
  • The collector. A piece of Chinese export, an English porcelain figure, a curiosity nobody else will have. The shop turns over constantly; call and tell us who they are.
  • The holidays. New this season, ornaments carrying Sharon's floral designs — and everything else a serious holiday table needs. Holiday at Anodyne.
  • The client, the closing, the thank-you. Designers, realtors and attorneys use the candles and small blue-and-white as client gifts. We'll set up a standing order. For the trade.

How we help

Tell us who it's for, what they're like, and roughly what you'd like to spend. We'll walk you to three things, not thirty. If you can't come in, send us the same by phone or email and we'll photograph options, take payment remotely, pack it properly and ship it anywhere in the country — or hold it at the shop for pickup.

Why an antiques shop makes a good gift shop

Because the best gift is one with a story, and every old thing here has one. A silver spoon made in Birmingham in 1820 is a more interesting present than anything in a mall, and often costs less. Pair it with something made this year — a candle, a pillow, a painted flower — and you have a gift that is both new and old, which is the trick.

Gift questions

Can you ship a gift directly to the recipient?

Yes. Give us the address and a note if you'd like one enclosed; we pack for the trip and send tracking.

I'm not in Naples. Can I still buy from you?

Yes — by phone or email. We'll send photographs of options, take payment remotely and ship. Pillows and fabric can be ordered made-to-order the same way.

What's a good hostess gift under a certain budget?

Tell us the number and we'll suggest three things. Candles, small blue-and-white, antique silver odds and ends and Delft pots cover most budgets gracefully.

Do you do client gifts for designers or realtors?

Yes, including standing orders for candles and small blue-and-white pieces at closings and installs. For the trade.
